It's hard to achieve anything without a little help from your friends. From the time I started thinking about launching my own business, I was lucky to have people around who encouraged me to go for my dream. I would have never started Beer Paws if someone hadn't said, "Just get some bottle openers in time for this Cinco de Mayo event, and we'll see what happens." One of the most exciting things to happen to me last year was getting a message from my friend and fellow writer Jonathan Bender, asking if I'd contribute a recipe to his new book Cookies & Beer.
