Partner Profile: 4 Hands Brewing Company

The Happiest Hour

Everyone is always looking for a great happy hour spot. If you’re in St. Louis, there are lots of choices to choose from. But for the happiest hour, the very happiest, might I recommend a microbrewery right in the heart of the city - 4 Hands Brewing Company.

Just south of Ballpark Village in LaSalle Park, it’s the kind of spot where co-workers become friends and friends become family over a pint of Single Speed American Blonde Ale.  And that’s just what it’s intended to be.

Stop by and grab a flightof their five year-round beers or rotating cast of seasonals. If you’re a native to the Gateway to the West or just a visiting admirer, you’ll want to try the City Wide, an American Pale Ale brewed to capture the taste of St. Louis. A percentage of each sale goes to local non-profits, so you can feel good about the beer and the fact that you’re helping the community.

If you’re in the mood for something with a little attitude, opt for the Ca$h Mony or War Hammer. Both are Imperial IPAs  but with very different feels. The Ca$h Mony is fruity and warm with an aggressive hop finish, while the War Hammer has a balanced sweetness and a piney finish.

If you prefer a little nosh with your libations, you can’t go wrong with a 4 Hands Brat, a classic take on a St. Louis favorite, or a roasted pork sandwich topped with gouda, sauerkraut and cherry stout mustard. The mussels, served in a tomato-bacon-shallot broth are out of site and provide the perfect salty counterpart to a hoppy brew.

4 Hands is a perfect little brewery. Their beers are great, the food is delicious and they even have skeeball. The next time you’re in the Lou, whether visiting family, heading to a Redbirds game or just passing through, stop into 4 Hands Brewing Co. And don’t forget to take a growler of your favorite beer to go!
