By now you are surely aware that today is a special day.
It is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, aka Giving Tuesday, a day created to remind us all to be more charitable, kind and to shop with purpose this holiday season.
These values are at the heart of Beer Paws. This brand was born out of my love for rescue dogs, and we are proud to support dozens of rescues, shelters and other animal-oriented non-profits each year through dollars and in-kind donations.
Some recent examples of how Beer Paws gives back:
- 100% of proceeds collected by the Beer Paws dog treat machines located at Bar K and MAC Properties in Kansas City go toward Heartstrings Animal Advocates.
- 100% of proceeds collected in the Beer Paws machine located at 1867 Bar in Lincoln benefit various Nebraska dog rescue groups.
- $1500 and counting: Value of in-kind donations made in 2017 to fundraisers benefiting charities in Arkansas, Hawaii, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, and New York.
- $4000 sponsorship: Beer Paws' commitment over the next year to the Lincoln Dog Run Campaign, which is opening new dog parks in Lincoln, Nebraska.
And these numbers only tell part of the story! I am so excited to wrap up 2017 and cut checks to some of the organizations we work with most closely in the Kansas City area.
