Summer Beer Festivals Tour with Beer Paws

Beer Paws hits the road.

It’s that time of year — summer at long last. That means long, lazy days. Fireflies. Barbecues. And beer festivals!

Tap That Topeka:

This summer, we’re hitting the road to share the love with pet lovers all over including three of the most popular beer fests in the area, which all just so happen to be on the same day — June 24.

It starts with Tap That Topeka. With more than 200 craft beers from over 50 breweries, this capital beer festival has everything you’re looking for in a summertime festival: food trucks, live music, vendors, and best of all, beer!

Tickets are $65 for VIP tickets that include access to reserve samplings, a signature bottle opener and an event glass. General tickets are just $35 and come with an event glass. Designated drivers only cost $10 and include free non-alcoholic beverages. Pro tip: If you’re planning on hitting up this event, buy your tickets in advance — they cost $5 more at the gate.

KC Nanobrew Festival:

If you’re in the Kansas City riverfront area, you won’t want to miss KC Nanobrew Festival. Now in its eighth year, this Berkley Riverfront Park-based event focuses on beers from breweries too small to be called micro-brewers. With hundreds of home brews, local beers and food, it’s a great chance to try beers you might otherwise not know about.

Tickets are $35 and come with unlimited tastings, food and a souvenir glass. Designated drivers get in for free!

Westport Beer Festival:

If midtown is more your style, you’ll want to head for the Westport Beer Festival. Located in front of McCoy’s right in the heart of Westport, it will feature more than 80 beers from 35 breweries, plus offerings several local craft distilleries. Attendees will be able to sample great beer, spirits and food, plus interact with Sporting Kansas City players.

Tickets come with a commemorative glass, and cost $35 ahead of time, $40 the day of the event.

Whichever event you choose, you’re guaranteed to have a great time, sampling some of the best brews you’ll find in the area. And if you see the Beer Paws booth, be sure to stop by and say hi!
